What is Salvation? |
Do you think you are good enough to get to Heaven? Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Who ever looks at another woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her in his heart.” Have you looked with lust? If you have done these things then God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer-at-heart and if you are one of the 150,000 people who will die within the next 24 hours and you have to face Jesus at your judgment do you think you would be innocent or guilty. If you are honest then you have to say that you would be guilty and if you are guilty then you would be facing an eternity in Hell. The Bible says that all liars and adulterers will have their part in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8) I can tell ya that no matter what you do, no matter what you try, nothing will ever change this fact until you find Christ, come to trust Him and Repent of your sins. That is the only way. As a matter of fact Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) Well ya might wonder, how do I come to know Jesus personally and put my trust in Him? I ’d like to help ya answer that question. And what your about to read is not just my opinion, or the opinion of the church, but it is what Almighty God himself said. This is not a way, or just one of the ways. It is the ONLY way. It’s God’s way. Please don’t take my word for it. If you don’t have a Bible, find one or go online to one of the bibles there and look these up for yourself. Sometimes we think there are many ways to be saved if we are a good person, but Proverbs 14:12 says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. Don’t look for your own way. Do it God’s way. Take a look at your life. Your not the only person who has ever messed up or done bad things. Romans 3:10 and 23 say, (10)There is no one righteous, not even one. And (23) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins. Don’t ignore Him. Acts 3:19 makes it clear what we must do, Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. To repent we must change directions, or turn our life around. We must give up sin. Many times we want to receive God’s gift of salvation and keep living our old lives. A prayer for salvation is not a guarantee. Without repentance you cannot be converted and receive eternal life. If your not willing to surrender, don’t bother praying for salvation. This may offend you, but Jesus said in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Jesus is saying that if you turn from your sin (repent) and surrender to Him, then He will take control and do God’s will through you. Romans 10:9-10 and 13 tells us how to receive him. If you confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (13) For, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” If these things bother you then before you let your head hit the pillow tonight get right with God. Repent of your sins (that means to confess and turn your back on sin, turn away from it, stop) and trust in Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to take our punishment. What does that mean? Imagine you are in a courtroom and you have been charged with multiple crimes. The judge looks at you and says that you are guilty and you will have to pay a $200,000 fine. You don’t have $200,000. so just as you are being led to prison someone you don’t know comes in and says, Hey I am going to pay that fine just because I Love you. You are still guilty but because your fine has been paid you are now free to go. This is what Jesus did. He died on the cross and then He rose from the dead so that Even though you were guilty he paid the fine so that you could go free. He completed a legal transaction so you could have eternal life. He took your punishment and in doing so showed how much God loves us. Get right with God today. Ask Jesus into your heart and life and Repent. God will grant you eternal life. Then read your Bible everyday and obey what it says. God will never let you down. NOW WHAT? If you have prayed to accept Christ into your heart please let us know, you can contact us at the link below. We would love to help you find a Church in your area where you can learn and grow in the Lord. If not, please think very carefully about what you have read here today, your eternal salvation is nothing to mess around with. |

What is a Cowboy Church? |
What denomination is Cowboy Church? Our Cowboy Church Pastor is an Ordained Southern Baptist, however we are an interdenominational fellowship. We do not believe that God sees our denomination but rather the heart of the one who is there to worship. We gladly welcome anyone to come and worship with us. Do I have to be a cowboy to attend? Absolutely not. We do have cowboys, cowgirls and horse folk, but, people from all backgrounds are welcome. If you enjoy country, bluegrass and gospel music, enjoy the western traditions or just want to hear a message that is easy to understand and whether you ride a computer keyboard or a buckin’ bronc, you will love Cowboy Church. What happens at a Cowboy Church Service? Our typical service has a couple of songs with maybe a song or two from a country, bluegrass or western gospel group or individual, prayer requests, an occasional testimony and a 20-30 minute message or Bible study that is easy to understand. Are there programs for children? Yes. Although at this point in our growth we do not have a traditional Sunday school, we do have classes for children. How should I dress for Cowboy Church? The majority of people will wear boots, jeans and cowboy hats, some will wear shorts and t-shirts and you may even see folks wearing suits and ties. All these are fine. In short, wear what ever you like. We make ourselves at home with God and each other. We believe that it is what is in the heart that matters more than what is being worn. Does Cowboy Church pass an offering plate? No. Some cowboy churches will pass a hat or a plate, however we believe that tithes and offerings are between you and the Lord. If you feel led to give, great. If not, that’s fine too (as long as you are tithing somewhere). Usually there will be a table with a hat for those who do want to give. We believe that God will always provide for anything that will be needed. If I do give, where does my money go? Offerings are used to purchase the cowboy bibles that we give out, expenses to produce these types of documents and to cover the cost of on-the-road expenses for our Travel Teams including all things that support this ministry. No one that is on staff receives a pay check.

Our Vision |
Our vision is that all people who have an interest in the western traditions would have a place to come and worship, learn the word of the Lord and grow spiritually. Our desire is that the truth be proclaimed and that lives will be changed. Young and old, rich or poor all are welcome. The Love of the Lord and our western heritage will lead the way. |

Our Statement of Faith |
· We believe in one true God, present in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. · We believe in the infallibility and the inerrancy of God’s Holy Word, the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16) · We believe in the literal interpretation of the Word of God and that in these scriptures are the will of God for all mankind. · We believe that man is born with a sin nature and therefore separated from God. (Romans 3:23) · We believe that Jesus was born of a Virgin to redeem mankind back to God. The redemptive work of Jesus, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension paid the price for man’s sins and that by faith in Jesus and accepting Him as Savior, man can be born again. (Romans 10:9-10) · We believe after accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, one needs to be obedient to scripture and be water baptized. (Matthew 28:19) · We believe the Local Church was established by the Lord Jesus Christ and through the leadership of the Pastor of the Church, it is a place of spiritual growth, fellowship and outreach to the community. · We believe the local church has been entrusted with the responsibility of evangelizing the world. (Matthew 28, Mark 16) |
